I have been prescribed the drug for yeast infections. It does not have any effect whatsoever on the vaginal yeast cells or the lining of the vagina.

The only other side effect I've had with the diflucan I'm on is a rash which is extremely rare. I'm not sure how long it will take for it to clear up on its own.
